NURMI: sustainable, ecological, long lasting transparent fashion
Nurmi is a sustainable clothing label established in 2010 by the designer Anniina Nurmi in Lahti, Finland. The key factors for Nurmi are sustainability and openness. All products are ecological and ethical throughout the whole life cycle and the whole production process is transparent. Nurmi clothes are produced ethically in Finland and Estonia, with sustainable materials only (organic cotton, hemp, recycled and leftover fabrics). Nurmi doesn’t only look good but it’s also good from within.
ETHICAL PRODUCTION IN FINLAND AND ESTONIA
Nurmi feels that clothes aren’t pretty if the people who made the clothes aren’t treated well. All the people involved in the production process need to be paid fairly, have safe working conditions and reasonable working hours. It doesn’t matter if the production takes place close by or far away – the ethical aspects are always equally important.
Nurmi works with local suppliers located in Finland and in Finland’s Southern neighbor Estonia. Read more about the supplier’s list, the materials and the ethics of Nurmi in the blog.
